Introduction
The Dalat Ultra Trail is an amazing success story and the living proof of the boom in mass participation sports in Vietnam. The inaugural edition of DUT attracted nearly 2000 runners and a year later there were over 4500 runners, no less. Dalat is a hillside retreat in the Central Highlands of southern Vietnam, a short flight or a few bus hours away from Ho Chi Minh City. The cool temperatures are ideal for distance running, at least if you are living in South East Asia.
The longest race category in 2023 is 85 km and that’s the one to focus on for ATM points. It has approx 2500 metres of elevation gain, which means it is quite runable. Fast legs are therefore encouraged to mark this one red hot in their calendars.

International gateway
Fly into Ho Chi Minh City is probably the easiest for international runners, although Nha Trang is another option. From either city by the coast, you can take a bus to Dalat for several hours or take a domestic flight of 45 minutes max.
Dalat is a tourism hotspot so accommodation of all standards is plenty. Runners will be collected on race day morning by event shuttle from the city.
