Current Overall Points Leaders

Men: Wilsen SINGGIN (MAS)

After his victory in Simpur Ultra in Brunei, Malaysia’s Wilsen Singgin has taken the overall points lead away from Filipino Maynard Encormal. Singgin totals 1350 points out of 3 races, 25 more than his compatriot Mohd Sulhan, and 60 more than Encormal. He is well on the way for his third consecutive ATM Final, this time in his home of Sabah. Gustin Tiam (1000 points out of 2 races) and Milton Amat (950 also out of 2 races) are also in the mix for the five spots in the home team. We also expect still quite a battle for the five places in Team Pilipinas. Maynard is in pole position, but would do well with a fourth top race result in order to be safe. Vietnam looks set for a strong male team headed by Nguyen Si Hieu. Defending ATM Champion John Ray Onifa has already secured his wild card, and so has 2018 champion Alessandro Sherpa.

Women: Adelinah LINTANGA (MAS)

It took her five years, but finally Adelinah Lintanga was back on the top step of an ATM podium with a race victory at Simpur. Along with three other podium finishes this season, she is certain of of qualification for Team Malaysia in what also for her will be a home race at Borneo TMBT. She is also a clear overall points leader after four races, totalling 170 more points than Filipino Christine Montuya. The battle for the team places is still open in many countries. In Vietnam Loi Luong has made it into her country’s team almost for sure already, and she could be a serious contender at TMBT. Reigning champion Rashila Tamang from Nepal has secured her wild card, and so has 2018 champion Ruth Theresia from Indonesia.
